Born in 1969 in Darmstadt, Heppenheim, on the mountain road first class music lessons at the age of five with his father, a passionate hobbyist who began violin lessons at 7 years 1979-86 students of Jacek Klimkiewicz, At the time, he was a concertmaster at the State Theatre in Darmstadt and Primarius of Sonare Quartet 1986 studying at Freiburg Music College, first at Wolfgang Marshner, from 1989 at Jörg Hofmann 1992-94 concert teams at Uwe-Martin Haiberg at Udk Berlin 1994-97 USA as DAAD scholarship at Indiana University Bloomington, USA at Franco Gulli, Chamber Music at Leonard Hokanson and György Sebök awards at national and international competitions in Berlin, Caltanissetta (Italy), Freiburg (Netherlands), Munich, USA (California, Indiana), Sion (Switzerland) etc.a. as a soloist and chamber music interpreter CD productions at Audite, Centaur, cpo, telo music broadcasting productions and media outlets for the BR, HR, SWR, WDR, Germany, Cologne and German radio Berlin master courses in China, Cuba, Germany, Italy, Finland, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago Ukraine and the U.S. as Associate Instructor in Violin Teaching at Indiana University Bloomington, from 1997 onwards as assistant to his former teacher Uwe-Martin Haiberg at the UdK Berlin, 2001-2004 guest professor, and lecturer at the Mainz College of Music, Since 2004, he has been a professor at the Hamburg School of Music and Theatre, since 2018 he has been an additional lecturer at the Academy of Talent Music Master Courses in Brescia, Italy.a. in the Berlin Philharmonic and in leadership positions at the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn member of various chamber music groups, e.g.B. in the Berlin Gilliv Quartet (formerly Philharmonic Piano Quartet) until its dissolution, present in the Johannes Kreisler Trio Christoph Schmidt, played for many years a violin by Italian master Giovanni Antonio Marchi, built in 1780 in Bologna. His present preferred concert instrument is a violin by Giovanni Dollenz, created in 1855 in Trieste. As a composer, he first appeared in 2018 with the opening performance of his piano quartet. He lives with his family in Berlin.
