She not only performs, but also combines her music with paintings of various artists on stages such as Chagall, Monet, Van Gogh and so forth. And because of her unique approach to combining music and art, she has earned the title of “Pioneer of Collaboration in Arts.” She has produced a classical music show called My Dinner with Noella in which she combined a film making with violin performance on a stage with various art works and it became a hit in performing arts in Korea and was invited to play for the TEDx in 2015. In 2018, it was selected as a ‘stage tune up project’ by CJ Group and gave 13 concerts in 11 days and made a record of all the tickets sold out.   On top of being a violinist, she also works as a lyricist and a writer. Her book called A Moment that Painting is Audible and Music is Visible became the best seller within a week of its releasing date. It was translated and published in China as well.   Furthermore, her lecture concerts in which she combines a lecture with a concert became very popular in Korea and she has given more than 150 performances and was invited to play for the Korean presidential residence, the Blue House.   Additionally, Noella works as a lyricist and wrote many lyrics for K-pop as well as for the campaign song for Pyeong Chang Olympic called One victory in 2018.   She also works as an actress and has appeared in movies in U.S. and Korea and is selected as a female lead in Korean and American feature films. His solo and chamber music recordinghave received high acclaim from Gramophone Magazine. Internationally, he hasperformed in China, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, and Russia.  He has been featured on many radio programsthroughout the United States, including National Public Radio’s ‘PerformanceToday’.  Bass has performed as concertosolo soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Boston Pops at SymphonyHall and the North Carolina Symphony at the Appalachian Summer Festival. Jonathan Bass holds a Doctor of Music degree from the IndianaUniversity School of Music, where he studied with, and was teaching assistantto, Menahem Pressler.  He also studied atthe Moscow Conservatory in Russia.  Bassis a Professor of Piano at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where he has servedon the faculty since 1993.  He alsoteaches at New England Conservatory in the Preparatory School. Born in West Germany he studied with Max Martin Stein, Yara Bernette, Fausto Zadra and Wilhelm Kempff.  His recitals leaded him in most countries of Europe, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Switzerland as well to Venezuela, Japan and China. He has also performed at music festivals such as Hamburg, Venice, Verona, Lausanne, Assisi, Caracas, Valony. He performed concerts with the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Bulgarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Romanian National Radio Symphony Orchestra and others. Recitals and concerts are widely introduced throughout Europe on television and radio. At the 100th anniversary ceremony in Brahms birthplace Hamburg he was the only pianist invited to play Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1. As a soloist, he has a wide repertoire from Baroque to Messiaen, with a special emphasis on the German classical and romantic repertory. He is also active in chamber music activities and has performed with Mark Lubotsky, Leonid Peysahov, and Hirofumi Fukai and others. Released CDs with works from Beethoven (op.106,109-111, 120), Schubert (last sonatas) and Schumann (op.17) and Liszt (Sonata). As an educator, he has contributed to European piano education for many years. At the age of 31, he became the youngest professor at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater, and then headed the instrumental department of the same university for 11 years and the head of the piano department for 14 years. From 2011-2015 he was invited as a visiting professor at the Aichi Prefectural University of Arts Japan (Aichi Geidai). He is a judge at international competitions around the world, including Brussels, Tokyo (PTNA and Yamaha), Beijing, Jaen, Sofia, Rome, Hamburg, Frankfurt, San Sebastian, Madrid, Messina and Caltanisetta. Many of his disciples who studied under him have won 1st prizes in major international competitions around the world, including the German Echo Klassik, the Queen Elizabeth International Competition, the Jaen International Competition, and the Steinway International Competition, the French International Competition, Elise Meyer Competition and many others. In addition to hosting master classes at major conservatories throughout Europe such as the Paris Conservatoire, the Royal Conservatoire de Madrid, the Sofia Conservatoire, the Lisbon Conservatoire and the Rotterdam Conservatoire, he is teaching at Kalaidos Musikhochschule (Zürich, Switzerland) and at the Yamaha Master Class (Yamaha Music Foundation, Tokyo).
